Our office used YouSendIt all the time to deliver documents to clients that were too big to send through email. Stay far away, this is a company that is changing for the worst, quickly. But a great deal is only as good as the service. I have a great deal because of being an early customer. And, I now have the occasional customer tell me in all seriousness they do not download pornography - why am I using such a company (Hightail in the US has a pornographic connotation). They redesigned the download page so instead of it being intuitively obvious, you must guide your customers on how to get their files (make sure to choose the "download" option - ignore the large "Save" and "Save All" options unless you have previously purchased Hightail). Ever since there have been issues - files that don't send no matter what, days when the upload/download speed lands at a complete crawl (2 hours for an 80 mb file on a high speed internet connection), and lack-luster customer service. Then the company decided they had to rebrand to Hightail - which apparently took their attention from the product itself while they tried to make it all look pretty. I was a YouSendIt user practically from the beginning and loved it. Cancel the trial as soon as you have signed up to it so you don't get billed! My point is %u2013 be really aware of this when you sign up for it. I am still tempted to raise this as an issue with my credit card company. When I have complained about this, they hide behind their T&C%u2019s and will not budge. This method of extracting fees from customers is immoral at best. Not even a receipt from them for the payment. No email to say trial was coming to an end, no email to say first payment was due to be taken, or 2nd or 3rd payment. They hide behind their T&C's not acknowledging that they have taken money off my credit card without any further reference to me after the end of the free trial. I flagged the issue with HIGHTAIL support and their customer service has been unbelievably poor. Eventually I work out what it is just before I ring the Credit Card Fraud line. I have no idea what it is and so the alarm bells ring. But then I forgot about it.Ä£months after the free trial and I notice a strange payment going out on my credit card. I used the product once to upload and share a file. ![]() Watch out for these guys when you sign up to a free trial - you have to give your credit card details (why? it is a free trial).
